What happened:

The use of normal HWDP Requires double handling from fingerboard to well center when running and pulling.

What was planned:

Contracted rig HWDP results in additional handling time to make up due to middle joint upset, conflict with hydraracker.

What was learned:

Time/ cost saving potential if double handling requirement removed

What actions are required:

Have thick wall drill pipe available included in the rig contract, this removes the need for double handling and time spent on critical path

Alternative approach, remove the middle joint upset on the top single of the stand of HWDP, this can be done in the metal workshop prior to ops. Additional cost associated vs rental cost of TWDP.

For Copernicus, double handling of the HWDP from the fingerboard to well center will be utilized
